{"id":1741,"date":"2025-04-24T14:22:23","date_gmt":"2025-04-24T11:22:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.humanremodelling.gr\/?p=1741"},"modified":"2025-07-30T14:23:56","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T11:23:56","slug":"loimoxi-apo-mykites-tou-genous-mucor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.humanremodelling.gr\/en\/loimoxi-apo-mykites-tou-genous-mucor\/","title":{"rendered":"Infection by fungi of the genus Mucor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Infection by fungi of the genus Mucor is a rare, opportunistic infection that progresses rapidly and can be fatal, especially in immunosuppressed patients or those with chronic debilitating diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can read the article by Mr. Kyriakopoulos and his colleagues, published in the National Library of Medicine, which presents six cases of trauma patients who developed mucormycosis. Of the reported cases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Three had suffered severe thermal burns, one of whom had diabetes mellitus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The other three had severe soft tissue injuries from traffic accidents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In all cases, there was direct contact of the wounds with soil.
