Vascular Surgeon
Konstantinos Antonopoulos was born in Athens and studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, from which he graduated in 2004.
Afterwards, and having completed his mandatory rural medical service, he completed 3 years of General Surgery at the General Hospital of Nikaia-Piraeus “Agios Panteleimon.” He then completed 4 years of Vascular Surgery specialty training at the University General Hospital “Attikon” and received the title of Vascular Surgeon. He received further training at the Vascular Surgery Clinic of “King’s College Hospital” in London and subsequently worked as a Vascular Surgeon at the “Thorax, Heart, Vessels” Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens “Evangelismos.” Today, he is a Senior Registrar (Epimelitis A’) at the University Vascular Surgery Clinic of “Attikon” Hospital.

He holds a doctoral degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and two postgraduate degrees, in endovascular techniques and in research methodology and biostatistics.
He has contributed as an author to more than 130 papers in international PubMed-indexed scientific journals (h-index: 30) and as a speaker at numerous conferences in Greece and abroad.
He served as a scientific associate at the Laboratory of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics of the University of Athens from 2004, under Professor E. Petridou, where he gained significant experience in data analysis and research methodology.
Additionally, he has participated as a researcher in international randomized multicenter studies.
He is a lecturer in the Postgraduate Program “Special Intensive Care Units” and in the Inter-University Postgraduate Program “Endovascular Techniques” of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as in the Postgraduate Program “Thrombosis and Antithrombotic Therapy” of the Medical School of the University of Thessaly.
He has received the “SVS International Scholarship 2018” from the American Society for Vascular Surgery, with which he visited the Vascular Surgery Clinics at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
He has also received the “ESVS Educational Travel Grant 2018” from the European Society for Vascular Surgery.
He is the father of two children, Nikola and Serafim, with whom he spends his free time creatively.
