Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that mainly affects areas with sweat glands, such as the armpits, groin, and perianal region. It is characterized by painful inflammatory cysts, abscesses, and fistulas, which often recur and cause significant impairment to the patient’s quality of life.
At our clinic, we apply an innovative surgical method for the treatment of severe cases of hidradenitis suppurativa, which is performed in a single surgical session, without the need for multiple operations or prolonged recovery. This technique has been developed by the lead surgeon of our team and is currently in the process of scientific publication, while it is not performed by any other plastic surgeon in Greece or abroad so far.
